What product lines does Gadabout carry?
We carry a variety of home care lines, many of which can be exclusively found at Gadabout in Tucson. What is Bare 101?
Bare 101 is a Gadabout exclusive! Our technicians requested a value oriented line that was created around the harsh desert climate to offer hydration to the skin, as well as using indigenous ingredients. We created this line specifically for them and for our guests! Each product is value priced around $20 and includes best selling products Cleanse Pads and Hydrate Face Cream. What make up line do you use?

What is so special about mineral makeup?
Mineral make up creates a sheer veil of breathable color on the skin giving a luminous finish while offering a natural skin protection from UVA & UVB rays. Mineral make up comes in a loose powder or compressed powder to offer you a dewy finish or matte finish.
FACIALS
How often should I get a facial?
Depends on the skin regimen you and the esthetician discuss as well as your skin type. The average time is about every 4-6 weeks. If you are receiving Glycolic Peels you could receive a peel every 14 days for the maximum results.
Will I be naked for the facial?
During your facial you will be draped at all times. We recommend dressing down to your comfort level prior to wearing the facial gown provided. Our facials include a scalp and neck massage as well as a hand and foot massage, and we would like you to be as comfortable as possible during this 50 minute service.
What products do you use for facials?
Our refresh facial uses Bare 101. Our Signature, Refine and Refinishing Facials use Skin Authority and Comfort Zone products. If you have an allergy or sensitivity to products, please let your esthetician know during your consultation.
What if I have allergies? Do you have products for waxing or facials that will be ok?
Yes! Please let your esthetician know prior to your service during your consultation. We also offer complimentary consultations if you would like to come in prior to scheduling a service to speak with an esthetician to discuss your skin and what we can offer.
What is the acne facial?
It eliminates impurities, exfoliates and promotes cellular turnover to help promote healthier skin. We customize the products used to ensure you receive the best results possible.

HAIR SERVICES
What is a wet lounge?
Our shampoo area where we cleanse & hydrate your hair. This area is an extension of our spa and offers calming music and TVs playing calming images to promote your relaxation during the scalp massage portion of your service.
Why are your hair prices quoted in a range?
Our haircuts include a personalized consultation, shampoo in our wet lounge, cut/style as well as home care recommendation to recreate your look at home. Our median price for design cut is $43.00 can go to $80.00 with our most experienced master stylists and starts at $29.00 with our studio stylists.
Our technical team's performance is measured by experience, expertise, and education. Gadabout promotes our hair staff through a level system. Prices will vary by technician depending on their promotion. We are continually searching for and developing state of the art techniques and services for you and your lifestyle.
HAIR EXTENSIONS
Why do I need a consultation for extensions?
Our consultations are to give exact price quotes and find out how much hair you will need, what length, color ect. After your consultation we will order your hair so we will have it for your service.
How much are hair extensions going to cost?
We give prices at the consultation visit once we see your hair and have discussed your desires.
How do I take care of my hair extensions?
Your technician will provide you with the proper home care recommendations as well as at home care. When brushing/combing be sure not to pull at the bond as this could pull the extension out.
KERATIN AND STRAIGHTENING TREATMENTS
What is the difference between a Keratin smoothing treatment and the custom blend straightener?
The Keratin is a demi permanent all protein infused system that infuses keratin into the cuticle eliminating frizz and curl, leaving the hair soft and shiny. Rebalancing of this service is applied to the whole length of the hair. Keratin is offered in three types: Smoother, Express, and Infusion. Custom blend straighteners are a permanent conditioning relaxer designed to straighten and give hairs optimum balance. Rebalance of this service is applied to the root only.
What are the differences between the three Keratin services?
Keratin Infusion: This is a great service for a night out, wedding or other special occasion. Your hair will last up to a week with the sleek, no frizz benefits of Keratin.
Keratin Express: This is a great service to add on to any color or cut appointment as it takes very little extra time and will give you all the benefits of a Keratin Infusion treatment for half the price and will last you half the time.
Keratin Smoother: The signature Keratin service is a demi-permanent treatment that infuses Keratin into the cuticle eliminating frizz and curl, leaving the hair soft, shiny and luxurious. This treatment will cut your blow drying time in half as well as give you a beautiful finish without hot tools. The infusion treatment lasts three to six months.
How do I take care of my Keratin treatment?
Keratin Infusion: Avoid getting any moisture in the hair with the infusion service for the first 8hrs. If it gets wet blow dry immediately and go over with a flat iron. Wear hair down; do not use pins, clips, ponytail holders, or sunglasses to hold hair back. Also do not tuck behind ear.
Keratin Express: Avoid getting any moisture in the hair with the Express for the first 8 hrs. If it gets wet blow dry immediately and go over with a flat iron. Wear hair down; do not use pins, clips, ponytail holders, or sunglasses to hold hair back. Also do not tuck behind ear.
Keratin Smoother: Avoid getting any moisture in the hair with the Smoother for the first 72hrs. If it gets wet blow dry immediately and go over with a flat iron. Wear hair down; do not use pins, clips, ponytail holders, or sunglasses to hold hair back. Also do not tuck behind ear.
For all Keratin services, wash hair only with recommended sodium chloride-free shampoo and conditioner. If swimming in the ocean or chlorinated pool, wet hair first with clean water prior to swimming and immediately after rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Is there any down time with the straightening treatments?
8hrs with the Infusion and Express and & 72hrs with the Smoother. With the custom blend straighteners, we recommend combing your hair out and not washing for 72 hours before your service.
What are Kerastase treatments?

LASHES
What side effects could I see from lash extensions?
Most guests do not see any side effects from Lash Extensions. If you experience any side effects, it could be mild irritation of the eye caused by the adhesive which should only be present immediately after the service. If you experience any other side effects, please let us know within 24 hours.
How do I care for my lash extensions at home?
Your technician will recommend a glycol-free make up remover and face cleanser. With lash extensions you will not need to use mascara, however if you would like to, please use a glycol-free mascara. We recommend not rubbing or picking at your lashes and using the recommended brush to keep them from getting tangled.
How long do lash extensions last? How often will I need to have them rebalanced?
After your initial visit we recommend scheduling an appointment every 2-3 weeks so that we can see your growth pattern of your eyelashes and rebalance.
MASSAGE
What is the difference between a spa massage and a signature massage?
The spa massage is a two hour service that includes an exfoliation, wrap, & massage; the exfoliation and wrap are about an hour then the massage is 50 minutes to an hour. Our signature massage is a 50 minute full body hands on Swedish type massage.
Will I be naked during my massage?
During all our spa services, you are fully draped and covered. Only the necessary body part will beexposed then covered again as the technician moves to the next area. We recommend removing all clothing and undergarments, however please feel comfortable dressing down to your comfort level as our technicians can accommodate any amount of clothing.
What is a spa massage?
A spa massage is two hour service that includes a full body exfoliation and body wrap followed by a signature 50 minute massage. We have three options to choose from that all offer different benefits to the body.
NAILS
What is shellac polish? How long will it last?

PEDICURES
What is a Signature Pedicure?
The Gadabout Signature Pedicure uses SpaRitual’s SoleMate products to offer you a sugar scrub exfoliation and the callous remover to smooth your soles.
What other Pedicures are available?
We have three different treatment pedicures to choose from and these offer the most hydration and benefits for your feet and legs. A guest favorite for people who are on their feet a lot is the Foot Soother Treatment. It includes extra massage and shea butter hydration. The most moisturizing pedicure we offer that is great for summer in the desert is the Hydrating Treatment. This service uses a goat butter wrap to penetrate the skin and offer a deep level of hydration.
What is the difference between a refresh pedicure and the others?
Our pedicures are created to give you the options as to what is best for your feet and legs. Our Refresh Pedicure is considered a maintenance pedicure and is great for people who have pedicures every two to four weeks.
SUNGLOW
How should I care for my sun glow at home? What should I wear to the service?
We recommend wearing dark loose fitting clothing. You will want to wait about 6-8 hrs to shower. Your technician will recommend home care for you to use at home to maintain your glow.
WAXING
What does paraffin do?
A warm paraffin add on is great for any service. Not only does it soften and add moisture back into the skin, the warmth is great for joint pain and arthritis.
How do I prevent in grown hairs after waxing?
In grown hairs are caused by the hair follicle not growing back straight after shaving or waxing. It is a common side effect and can be prevented easily. We recommend gently exfoliating while in the shower every other day after waxing. Once out of the shower we recommend an after-wax calming cream like PFB-Vanish to use every day. How do I get the best results from my waxing service?
We recommend waiting two to three weeks between services (or before waxing) as the hair needs to be at least a quarter inch before we can wax. As you continue waxing the hair will grow back thiner and finer and therefore you may be able to increase your time between waxing to four weeks.

Just mention it prior to your visit or during your wax consultation.
WEDDINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS
Do you allow champagne during my wedding services?
We do, you will need to provide and pour for you and your guests at the time of the visit. If you would like for us to provide Orange Juice, or any other food and beverage, please contact our special events coordinator: reservations@gadabout.com.
Do I have to prepay for my wedding services?
We recommend prepayment for all group and wedding party services. This will allow less stress and challenge for you and your guests on the date of the services. This way you can all come in, enjoy your services and go.
Does Gadabout host corporate events?
Yes! We would love to host your corporate events! Please contact our special events coordinator to help set it up: reservations@gadabout.com.
Will you come to my hotel before my wedding to do my hair?
We do offer onsite services although we try to encourage guests to come into our salons when we are open (Tuesday-Saturday’s) as this is a hardship on our salons when stylists are away. We require at least three or more guests needing services for a technician to come on site. Our special events coordinator can provide you with pricing and more details: reservations@gadabout.com.
What is the best time to have a facial before my wedding?
Depends on the skin regimen you and the esthetician discuss and your skin types needs, however we recommend no closer than three days prior to your big day!
