What is Bare 101?

Bare 101 is a Gadabout exclusive! Our technicians requested a value oriented line that was created around the harsh desert climate to offer hydration to the skin, as well as using indigenous ingredients. We created this line specifically for them and for our guests! Each product is value priced around $20 and includes best selling products Face Glycolic Cleanse Pads and Face Hydrate Moisture Cream. What makeup line do you use?

We have selected Mineralogy as our makeup line of choice. We love their mineral makeup and coverage. Find out more here: Mineralogy Mineral Make-Up

What is so special about mineral makeup?

Mineral makeup creates a sheer veil of breathable color on the skin giving a luminous finish while offering a natural skin protection from UVA & UVB rays. Mineral makeup comes in a loose powder or compressed powder to offer you a dewy finish or matte finish.

How often should I get a facial?

Depends on the skin regimen you and the esthetician discuss as well as your skin type. The average time is about every 4-6 weeks. If you are receiving Glycolic Peels you could receive a peel every 14 days for the maximum results.

Will I be naked for the facial?

During your facial you will be draped at all times. We recommend dressing down to your comfort level prior to wearing the facial gown provided. Our facials include a scalp and neck massage as well as a hand and foot massage, and we would like you to be as comfortable as possible during this 50 minute service.

What products do you use for facials?

Our refresh facial uses Bare 101. Our Signature, Refine and Refinishing Facials use Skin Authority and Comfort Zone products. If you have an allergy or sensitivity to products, please let your esthetician know during your consultation.

What if I have allergies? Do you have products for waxing or facials that will be ok?

Yes! Please let your esthetician know prior to your service during your consultation. We also offer complimentary consultations if you would like to come in prior to scheduling a service to speak with an esthetician to discuss your skin and what we can offer.

What is Glycolic?

Glycolic is full of anti-oxidants! This treatmentis high in Vitamins A, C, and E, that help replenish and rejuvenate moisture-depleted skin. This Anti-Aging result oriented facial uses Skin Authority products to resurface the skin, taking off layers of dead skin cells. The result is skin that is able to hold more moisture, softening of fine lines, and lightening of hyper pigmentation spots.

What side effects could I see from lash extensions?

Most guests do not see any side effects from Lash Extensions. If you experience any side effects, it could be mild irritation of the eye caused by the adhesive which should only be present immediately after the service. If you experience any other side effects, please let us know within 24 hours.

How do I care for my lash extensions at home?

Your technician will recommend a glycol-free make up remover and face cleanser. With lash extensions you will not need to use mascara, however if you would like to, please use a glycol-free mascara. We recommend not rubbing or picking at your lashes and using the recommended brush to keep them from getting tangled.

How long do lash extensions last? How often will I need to have them rebalanced?

After your initial visit we recommend scheduling an appointment every 2-3 weeks so that we can see your growth pattern of your eyelashes and rebalance.

How do I get the best results from my waxing service?

Having the appropriate length of hair (a quarter inch or longer) will give optimal results.

What is the desirable length of hair recommended for waxing?

We suggest approximately a quarter inch or longer (2 to 3 weeks of growth).

What is the proper amount of time to wait between my waxing services?

We recommend waiting two to three weeks without shaving, as the hair needs to be at least a quarter inch before we can wax. As you continue waxing, the hair will grow back thinner and finer, and therefore, you may be able to increase your time between waxing to four weeks.

How do I prevent ingrown hairs after waxing?

Ingrown hairs are caused by the hair not growing back straight. It is a common side effect and can be prevented easily by gently exfoliating. Between services we also recommend an after-wax skin care product like Tend Skin or PFB Roll on.

For my bikini wax service, will I be undressed from the waist down?

We offer disposable panties to keep you partially covered and to prevent wax from getting on your personal garments. During a bare bikini wax service, the esthetician will need to move and adjust the disposable panties.

What if it is “that time of the month,” should I reschedule?

In most cases, as long as a tampon is used, you will not need to reschedule. Some women are more tender and sensitive during different times of the month. If your skin is tender or more susceptible to bruising, you may choose a different schedule.

What type of wax does Gadabout SalonSpas use?

We use a European soft and sensitive wax and hard wax specialists are available for services upon request.

Will I be perfectly smooth after my first wax?

It is possible, however, it is based on your hair thickness and skin condition.

Will it make my hair grow back thicker or darker?

No, as you continue waxing, the hair will grow back thinner and finer.
